Consultwebs’ Information-Packed Annual Team Training Conference
From discussing the nitty-gritty of link-building to sharing Michael Wice’s story of proposing to his wife at a past legal conference, our conference this year helped to further train our team while solidifying connections between team members on both a personal and professional level. See takeaway tweets, quotes, and photos below!
It was an information-packed conference held in Raleigh, North Carolina, the home of one of our offices. We opened on the right foot with VP Magnus Simonarson exhorting the team to craft personal mission statements. A lightning-fast Pecha Kucha overview of our processes was conducted by virtually all of the team’s members. Guest speaker Deanna Brocker, JD, formerly of the Assistant Ethics Counsel for the N.C. State Bar, answered ethics questions in the next session about hot legal marketing topics such as testimonials and Google reviews. Ken Hardison of the Hardison & Cochran law firm and the PILMMA lawyer marketing association followed, giving the team insights into how to improve our clients’ marketing.
Tanner Jones and Dale Tincher kick-started day two by addressing issues of personal and professional development. Charles Ullman, a Raleigh, North Carolina family lawyer, spoke on client relationships.
JR Oakes, Director of Search Marketing, unpacked link-building strategies and tools that the team can use to better serve our clients. TJ Saye, Chief Operating Officer at Salvi, Schostok and Pritchard, a Chicago personal injury law firm, joined us on webcam to discuss how clients interact with law firms and how Consultwebs can position firms appropriately in today’s competitive legal marketing landscape.
We used Social Media to keep track of experiences and golden nuggets from our sessions. You can see all the action on Twitter, but here are a few of our favorites:

As CEO, Dale Tincher said, “I have attended numerous conferences, including several when I was employed at Fortune 500 and other companies and legal conferences. This was the best planned, best executed, most informative and most enjoyable of any I have attended. We have a team of professionals! I’m proud to be on this team.”

I second what Tanner said. This was a wonderful conference with our awesome team!
Such a wonderful experience and a great way to meet the entire team for the first time. Thanks to everyone who made this conference possible. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one!
Fantastic conference! I have never seen so many people excited to learn and collaborate. The ideas I heard during the conference gave me serious motivation to take back to my daily routine.
The whole time I was thinking to myself, ‘What an incredible group of people!’ The conference was packed with valuable content and generated so many great ideas that will help our clients succeed. A big thank you to the organizers, presenters and guest speakers!
I absolutely loved the conference and am so proud of our conference committee and team for making it so successful and enjoyable. The training and all aspects of the conference were superb. The conference survey comments were unanimously favorable. I look forward to adding a second conference in 2013.
