J.R. Oakes serves as a Senior Programmer for Consultwebs.com, which involves taking basic HTML files and integrating them into content management system so there will be easy entry of content and consistent design in our clients’ websites.
J.R. also keeps our content management system applications up-to-date and running smoothly, and he supports the programming manager in keeping client files safe.He takes pride in looking for new technologies that can add value to our client’s sites.“What I like about Consultwebs.com is that there is a strong desire to do whatever it takes for our clients,” J.R. says.
A native of Spencer, North Carolina, J.R. studied industrial design at N.C. State University.He went on to become the lead designer at CG&D Studios, a Raleigh-based artistic glass studio. For 10 years, J.R. provided a wide variety of clients with consulting, design, development and installation of artistic glass creations. He also developed the company’s website, implemented workflow systems, administered Google Apps, and handled overall operations and high-level design projects.
When he isn’t working, he enjoys reading about emerging technologies, playing drums, watching college basketball, cooking and spending time with his friends and family.
